Cross-country and snowshoe enthusiasts can enjoy the trails at Great Glen trails*, Jackson Ski Touring Center*, Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring Center*, King Pine Ski Area*, Bretton Woods Resort* or Bear Notch Ski Touring*. The area also offers ice fishing, hiking, ice climbing, and snowmobiling. For the less adventurous, there is tax-free shopping at the outlets along Route 16. The motel is a 2.5 hour ride from Boston and 1.5 hours from Portland, Maine.
